So how big of a structure are you putting on top of the bridge? I messed around with that in creative mode and after getting 3/4 of one of the large square sections on top filled in with wood frames, I had a major collapse. I like to take out a good chunk of the bridge floor as well so they just keep falling into the river. Typically the hoard will just dig into the side of the river bed. It takes some time but once that's done you're safe. You have to cut a clear chunk out of each diagonal beam then the zombies can't just walk up. You can build on the flat top or on a flat spur overlooking the lake. It's centrally located and has good nearby resources. My favorite spot on Nav is a hill next to a lake just NW of the church, SW of the Working Stiffs near Diersville. How do you bridge-dwellers deal with the ramps? There are four of them and they have massive hp. First time I tried it, the zeds just walked up the slanted supports on the end of the bridge. Farming usually requires a different location. Can be blind sided by screamers when exiting. Can become a slog entering and exiting to the surface. Vulnerable to attack during first phases of digging. Can take several REAL days to get a solid operation dug out and set up. Can cook and craft 24/7 in relative peace. High chance of finding ore deposits while digging. usually requires excessive traps, trenches, pill boxes and double door airlock entrances. very vulnerable before upgraded to concrete. I have lived above ground and below ground they both have pros and cons.
